The Jones Company Continues to Develop Neighborhoods

Nashville-based The Jones Company continues to develop neighborhoods in area suburbs due to both consistent and increased demand. These areas attract homebuyers, with proximity to major interstates, shopping and amenities, and major city attractions as the draw.

Barnes Bend, a development near Brentwood, launched in 2004 and currently includes more than 120 homes. The final phase of Barnes Bend, which included 13 lots, sold out in less than a year. A continuation of that development includes The Jones Company’s entrance into Sugar Valley. With 19 lots available currently, Sugar Valley will ultimately offer more than 130 homes.

Additionally, The Jones Company has more than a dozen existing and future properties in suburbs of Nashville within a 30-mile radius, including Franklin, Nolensville, Mt. Juliet, Hermitage and Spring Hill.

“These areas near Nashville are sought after by residents in all stages of the home buying process,” said Ken Stricker, CEO. “The Jones Company carefully selects neighborhoods that are ideal for new homebuyers, people who are ready to upgrade, and people who are aim to downsize later in life. The areas we select feature many options that homebuyers look for.”

The Jones Company’s homes feature a variety of sizes, floor plans and customizable options, designed with the goal of catering to each homebuyer’s interests. The communities feature attractive and functional features, such as underground utilities, sidewalks, playgrounds, pools, landscaping and nature trails.

The home interiors are designed to maximize space, offering spacious, open floor plans, with efficient kitchens and baths, large family rooms, oversized bedrooms, bonus rooms, and walk in closets.

The Jones Company is the only homebuilder is the area to adopt LiveSmart, which is a green investment to conserve resources, reduce waste, promote energy and water efficiency, and improve indoor environment quality. This ultimately saves money and increases quality of life for homebuyers.

Information on The Jones Company’s new homes in Nashville, including floor plans, photos and options is available at LiveJones.com.

About The Jones Company
The Jones Company, a Nashville new home builder, was founded by John E. Jones of St. Louis in 1927, and recently celebrated its 83rd Anniversary. His son, Robert (Bob) Jones, bought the company in 1964 and led the company to great success. Bob’s son, Tom Jones, is still involved to this day. The company has been family owned and operated since its inception. The Jones Company offers a variety of home collections in all price ranges to meet diverse lifestyle needs, starting with the $200,000 “first move up” home to homes in excess of $600,000. Known in the homebuilding industry as “the value leader,” the company’s in-house architectural department strives to find new ways to provide the best value to buyers. It is for this reason that many customers purchase two, three and even four Jones homes over their lifetime. In demonstrating this mission, every Jones home is backed by a 1-10 Guarantee Program that provides a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials, and a ten-year guarantee on major structural components. The company is proud to have a history of community involvement in the markets it serves, including a decade of projects with Habitat for Humanity. Through that community involvement, more than $130,000 has been raised for children’s charities during the past few years.

Green Checking at CedarStone

CedarStone Bank recently launched a “green” friendly checking account product that is sensitive to the environment while offering electronic statements and a free tree sapling with account opening.

CSB Green Checking

“Our Simply Free Checking account has been the backbone of our growth since our inception in 2004. “Simple Green Checking” is a bi-product of our original simply free checking account with a slant towards the environment,” explained Bob McDonald, CedarStone Bank President & C.E.O.

The new checking product offers free online banking and bill pay, e-statements, no ATM or Debit Card fees and no monthly service charges.

“It goes right along with our bank’s effort in keeping the amount of paper we use to a minimum. We have been recycling our wastes for several years and within the last year or so we have gone paperless in our executive meetings. The use of tablets in our board and committee meetings have eliminated the use of paper products and this new checking account will add to the effort to save a few more trees,” added Hank Stuart, Ex. Vice-President and Senior Credit Officer.

Simple Green Checking was launched the second quarter of 2013 and old and new customers are appreciating the idea.

“Our regular free checking customers are making the switch over to the green checking account by signing up for e-statements. Everyone that has been introduced to Simple Green Checking understands our vision and the free tree sapling has been received and enjoyed by new and old customers,” added John B. Bryan, VP and Business Development Officer at the Lebanon office.

Benefits of Simply Green Checking:

  • Checking account that features online banking and e-statements
  • Comes with all the benefits of our existing free checking account (no fees, no ATM/Debit card fees)
  • When you open this account, you will receive a tree seedling to take home to plant.  (Norway Spruce – while supplies last)

Maui Wowi Hawaiian, a flexible franchise concept specializing in serving premium Hawaiian coffees, handcrafted specialty drinks, and flavorful fresh fruit smoothies, has opened a new location in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Franchise owners and operators, Jim and Jeanne Morrissey have been eagerly awaiting this day, preparing down to the last detail.

“Maui Wowi brings Hawaii to Tennessee and we are so excited to be able to share paradise with our community, family and friends,” said Jeanne. “Finally the people of Mt. Juliet have an ideal place to stop in, get to know us, and enjoy one-of-a-kind beverages. The store is located just minutes away from Nashville in the Grave’s Crossing Shopping Center at 640 South Mt. Juliet Rd. Suite 200. The new shop is beaming with island flavor in a tastefully decorated environment, complete with cozy seating and natural light. The company used many sustainable elements to complete the look and functionality of this island oasis. The flooring achieves the warmth of hardwood but is made with environmentally friendly materials. The carpets are made from recycled airplane and truck tires and the countertop siding is made of Kirei Board; a material that is considered rapidly renewable. This means that the material can be renewed by natural sources within a ten-year cycle, therefore reducing its environmental impact.

The Mt. Juliet location is the latest Maui Wowi store to feature innovative green building materials. “The design efforts are strongly focused on using elements that are sustainable while creating an inviting atmosphere for customers to enjoy,” said Eric Richardson, Senior Project Manager at Maui Wowi Hawaiian.

The menu includes a variety of specialty coffee and espresso drinks that are made using freshly shipped coffee from Hawaiian Islands that can also be bought in whole bean or fresh ground in the shop. The smoothies are all-natural, gluten-free, fat-free, and Kosher Certified. Flavors include Mango Orange, Black Raspberry and Strawberry. There are also unique combinations with names like Whistful Waikiki and Black Lava Beach.

Red Robin is turning lemons into Freckled Lemonade® on National Lemonade Day, celebrating the national holiday and honoring the beloved summertime drink by giving back!  On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Red Robin® restaurants nationwide will host lemonade stands to raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding better treatments and ultimately cures for all kids with cancer.

Participating Red Robin restaurants will serve free samples of the gourmet burger authority’s signature Freckled Lemonadeat their lemonade stands, while collecting donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to aid in funding research leading to cures.  Freckled Lemonade — a blend of sweet strawberries and tangy Minute Maid®Lemonade with free bottomless refills— has been Red Robin’s signature beverage for more than 20 years, and is the perfect drink to honor National Lemonade Day.

“Freckled Lemonade is part of Red Robin’s heritage and a true menu favorite, so partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a perfect fit,” said Denny Marie Post, Red Robin’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.  “We’re proud partners of the Foundation year-round and hope our guests will help us further support this cause on National Lemonade Day.”

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was created by four-year-old cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) who began raising money and awareness to help find a cure for all kids with cancer by selling lemonade at her own front yard lemonade stand.  Alex’s mission continues today through the work of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which Red Robin is proud to support.  During opening week at new locations, all proceeds from Freckled Lemonade are donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to support the search for a cure for pediatric cancer.

“Supporting Red Robin’s lemonade stands on National Lemonade Day is a great way to celebrate and raise awareness for our mission,” said Liz Scott, Co-Executive Director of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and mother of Foundation creator Alex Scott. “We hope that Freckled Lemonade fans will visit participating Red Robin restaurants across the country on National Lemonade Day, to continue Alex’s message of hope and help fulfill her dream of finding cures for all children with cancer.”
